Lauren, from Twill and Sage, started her online business in the summer of 2022. ‘I’ve always loved being creative – painting, drawing, knitting, you name it, I’ve probably tried it! However, I found it difficult to pursue my passions while working a regular nine-to-five job. That’s when I decided to start my own business. Working from home has been a blessing, allowing me to create beautiful pieces of art without the added pressure of social interaction. It has given me the flexibility to work my own schedule, which has been incredibly helpful for managing my anxiety.’
Lauren first heard about Jesmonite ‘when I was searching for a more eco-friendly option to make my home décor pieces. When I first started working with Jesmonite, I was extremely impressed with the beautifully smooth stone-like texture along with its fast-setting times. It is also very easy to produce a wide range of colours that can be customised to match any specific shade you want.’
She was keen to become a Brand Ambassador for Jesmonite when she kept ‘seeing all the other incredible makers and small business owners getting to share their creations and love of Jesmonite with a wider audience.’

As a brand ambassador, Lauren ‘would love to teach people all the little tips and tricks on how to use Jesmonite to create beautiful, unique pieces.’
Lauren not only exemplifies the benefits of working with Jesmonite as a product but also the wellness benefits of creating! She said, ‘Working with Jesmonite can be a therapeutic experience; it allows me to escape into a world of creativity and self-expression. The process of designing and creating something with your hands can be incredibly calming and meditative, providing a lot of relief from my anxiety and daily stresses. But I’d also say that one of the best things to come from working with this material is the large community of makers that you get to connect with and interact with, it’s like one big creative family! I don’t think I’ve ever met a more encouraging and helpful community before.’
