As part of introducing you to our wonderful team at Jesmonite this month, you get to learn about our newest member while he’s learning about the world of Jesmonite.

Job title: Project Manager

How long have you worked at Jesmonite? Since August 1st 2023

What is on your bucket list? To ski Jackson Hole in the US.

What has been your biggest achievement in your working career? I completed 27 years as a secondary teacher.

What is your favourite office snack? Everything! I enjoy all foods.

What has been your biggest achievement in your personal life? My family. I am married and have two children who are 13 and 16.

What is your main hobby? I play league field hockey every weekend.

What has been your biggest highlight of 2023 so far? Changing my career after 27 years of teaching.

What do you love about working at Jesmonite? I enjoy working with a great team and learning new skills.

What is your favourite quote? ‘We are what we repeatedly do’ -Aristotle.

What do you enjoy doing when you’re not working? Mountaineering and getting out in the outdoors.

Tell us something we don’t know about you? I worked as an undertaker while at university.

Have you made anything using Jesmonite? I have made lots of things ranging from coasters to pumpkins and I’ve used different techniques from marbling to terrazzo.

What is your favourite country you’ve ever visited? USA.

What is the best advice someone has given you? Work hard, play hard.

What’s one thing you’re learning now or learned recently? How to edit videos.

What’s your guilty pleasure? Ice cream.
