Our distributor in Singapore, Concrete Everything, has recently been using their design and creative skills to make awards for national events.
The design studio explores the beauty of materials through experimentation, something the team has been doing since 2014 alongside creating their own unique pieces and sharing their love of craft through workshops.
The studio consists of a team of three – Zee, Marcus, and Ivan – and their key mission in crafting creations is to “Dream, Seek and Make”.
We recently sat down with the team to hear about what they’ve been up to and what the future looks like…
“Concrete Everything is a home to makers, explorers, dreamers, and lovers of everything beautiful.
“While the only limit is one’s mind, we expand our creative horizons and ‘DREAM’ of creating unique crafts and experiential workshops for all. ‘SEEK’ is a core value in the pursuit of creativity which involves much active research and planning, and ‘MAKE’ indicates the final actualisation of a creative idea.
“All our creative crafts aim to be simple yet beautiful, feasible, and suitable – simplicity is beauty.
“These are the foundations of our endeavour in forming unique workshop experiences and crafts.
“It has been an exciting year for us with creations for many renowned brands and even government agencies in Singapore.”
Tell us more about the renowned brands!
“Most recently, we have worked with TikTok to come up with 180 mementos for their esteemed guests for a big event, featuring a customised TikTok logo memento that doubles as a smartphone dock. This is made entirely from Jesmonite AC100.”
What about the government agencies?
“One of our biggest projects was with the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) where a global firefighting competition was held in Singapore to test global firefighters’ skills, resilience, and endurance. This competition was participated by many countries, especially Singapore’s neighbouring countries in Southeast Asia.
“Concrete Everything was honoured to be part of this competition by customising trophies for the winners. The trophies were made with mostly Jesmonite AC100 and some reinforcements such as wood and metal to further strengthen some intricate parts of the trophies.”
What’s next for Concrete Everything?
“Concrete Everything, with our dedicated designers and crafters, are always looking at ways to push the limits of the material, Jesmonite AC100, and needless to say, we are amazed by how we can still find new ways of using this material despite many years of experience.
