Meet the team: Jane Mort

Here at Jesmonite we often say we’re like a family rather than business colleagues (in fact, that’s exactly what Sophie said in her ‘Meet the Team’ blog last month!).

Get ready to gush over some lovely family news this month… It’s all family vibes as we introduce you to another of our wonderful staff members.

Many people would have been in touch with this month’s star and she often talks to people across the globe helping with their business and how they distribute Jesmonite.

But how well do we know her?

Name: Jane Mort

Job title: Business Co-ordinator

How long have you worked at Jesmonite: Just over a year.

What has been your biggest achievement in your working career? During Covid I worked in the NHS and feel one of my biggest achievements was helping patients receive the care they needed in this challenging time.

What has been your biggest achievement in your personal life? Having my two lovely daughters, they make me very proud every day.

What do you love the most about working at Jesmonite? I very much enjoy talking to customers on the phone and learning more about them, it’s very exciting working with people all over the world.

What has been your biggest highlight of 2022 so far? Welcoming my very first granddaughter into the world! Her name is Willow and I absolutely love taking her on walks and having big cuddles!

What is your favourite office snack? It’s got to be a jam doughnut or a Fox’s Viennese biscuit!

What is your main hobby? I really love going on walks, especially in the Shropshire hills amongst the gorgeous views. My favourite local walk is Carding mill Valley, as the views for miles don’t ever disappoint!

Have you made anything using Jesmonite? Yes, I have made many Jesmonite AC100 coasters and trays at the Shropshire Food Festival where we had a stall making coasters with the public, this was a fun day for all!

What is your favourite country you’ve ever visited? I absolutely love Tenerife! We once went on a trip up mount Teide, the views were breathtaking!

So if you didn’t get to meet Jane at the Shropshire Food Festival (which may have been a bit far for some of our worldwide readers!), we hope you feel like you’ve met her now.

Next time you talk to her, be sure to ask all about Willow and we’re sure you’ll get a great update on all milestones achieved and just how lovely those hugs are!

We’ll bring you another ‘Meet the team’ blog next month so you can get to know more of our incredible staff members.
