Meet the team – Edd Wilson

Welcome to a new month and a chance to meet another member of the Jesmonite team!

At the start of the year we told you we had some new faces at Jesmonite HQ in Shropshire, England. And we will not disappoint. This month we’re getting to know another new employee here who has hit the ground running and is making a huge impact for us. We hope you enjoy learning a little more about people you may speak to often when you contact our company from wherever you are in the world.

Name: Edd Wilson

Job title: Divisional Director

How long have you worked at Jesmonite? 10 months

Where is on your bucket list? I have always wanted to see Australia.

What is the most exciting aspect of your work at Jesmonite? Working with businesses who haven’t experienced Jesmonite to produce innovative products and systems is truly the most exciting. As we have such a flexible material in terms of colour, texture and thickness it really allows for the most complex, daring and outlandish requests to become reality. No ideas are ever off the table!

What is your Favourite quote? “Never let success get to your head and never let failure get to your heart”.

What is something you would like to achieve in 2022? On a business level, I’m hoping that we will have set strong foundations in the development of new façade products with our trustworthy partners using our various technologies.

What is something you’re planning on doing in the next year that you’ve never done?

Since having children and with the way the world has been, we haven’t had the opportunity to take our children anywhere on holiday, so hopefully we’ll get to travel with the children and let them experience the wider world, we can’t wait!

What do you enjoy doing when you’re not working? I really enjoy spending time with my amazing fiancée and our two fantastic children, every day is different, and children really do keep you on your toes!!

What is an interesting fact about you? I spent most of my teenage years as a radio presenter on a station local to where I was born, I think that’s probably where I found my knack for publicly speaking, presenting and networking. It left me with a wacky yet impressive knowledge of music as well, my playlists vary wildly!

What is the best advice someone has given you? Don’t be afraid to ask. It was always reinforced during my upbringing and has definitely helped me throughout my career thus far – it’s always better to ask the question if you don’t know the answer as opposed to try and make it up!

You may well have thought Edd sounded great on the phone then, now you know it’s those radio days perfecting his tones!

Watch out next month for another team member sharing a little more about themselves so customers can get to know us a little better!
