What a weekend!
The Jesmonite team has spent two days at the Shrewsbury Food Festival introducing visitors to our product and helping to raise money for Lingen Davies.
We are thrilled to have been able to collect donations for Lingen Davies Cancer Fund, which supports people throughout Shropshire and Mid Wales who are impacted by cancer.
The charity funds services and equipment for patients at the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital, as well as delivering community projects to raise awareness of cancer and encourage people to take up cancer screening opportunities.
As our HQ is based in Shropshire, England, this was an important local opportunity to make a difference to a local charity, and we had a fantastic time.
Many people who came to enjoy the food there also came to our stand and found themselves enjoying a crafting session!
We let visitors practise using Jesmonite by making a coaster – many of which had a smile on them – and donate towards Lingen Davies to take their creation home.
The smile was to promote happiness and positive mental health as well as the therapeutic benefits of crafting with Jesmonite, something we’ve covered before.
We also sold premade coasters, pots and trinket trays, with proceeds of sales going to Lingen Davies.
So a big thank you to everyone who came along, had fun and donated.

Lingen Davies supports cancer services for the people of Shropshire, Telford and Mid Wales.
It is estimated that more than 100,000 people have had their cancer treatment and care improved through the work of the Lingen Davies Cancer Fund.
